Job Overview We are looking for a highly skilled and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate to deliver exceptional service to our customers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that every customer has a great shopping experience, from answering questions and providing recommendations to managing sales transactions and maintaining the overall appearance of the store. Key Responsibilities Assist customers with questions and recommendations, providing exceptional service and ensuring that every customer has a positive experience Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register, maintaining accuracy and efficiency Maintain security of cash and protect blithequark assets, adhering to company policies and procedures Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise, ensuring that the store is always fully stocked and visually appealing Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards, and maintain a safe and organized work environment Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders Maintain the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: A high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment Excellent customer service and relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, associates, and leaders Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents The ability to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous experience working in a retail environment, with a strong understanding of sales transactions and customer service principles Experience working with cash registers and point-of-sale systems, with a high level of accuracy and efficiency Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others to provide exceptional customer service A strong understanding of blithequark's products and services, with the ability to make recommendations and provide expert advice to customers Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our associates.
