About the Role blithequark is seeking an experienced technical customer service representative to join its team. As a technical customer service representative, you will be responsible for fielding customer inquiries and finding innovative ways to respond to varying questions, issues, and concerns related to water heaters. You will work in a collaborative and engaging environment, interacting with people from all walks of life, and no two days will be the same. This is a remote work opportunity with on-site training at blithequark's location in Johnson City, TN. After completing the training, you will work from the comfort of your own home, providing excellent customer service to clients across the country. Key Responsibilities As a technical customer service representative at blithequark, your key responsibilities will include: Handling and carefully responding to all customer inquiries related to water heaters Providing excellent customer service through active listening and ensuring that customers have a positive experience with the company Working with confidential customer information and treating it sensitively Aiming to resolve issues on the first call by being proactive and providing innovative solutions Communicating effectively with customers, calmly attempting to resolve and de-escalate any issues, and escalating interactions when necessary and appropriate Tracking all call-related information for auditing and reporting purposes and providing feedback on call issues Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: Ability to work remotely in a virtual team environment and collaborate with colleagues and managers 6 months of customer service experience preferred, with a focus on technical products or services Over 18 years of age and high school graduate or GED Ability to type 25 wpm and navigate Windows operating systems Proven oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner Logical problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze problems and provide innovative solutions Organization and work prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience working with water heaters or other technical products Technical certifications or training, such as CompTIA A+ or similar Experience working in a remote or virtual team environment Strong technical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze problems and provide innovative solutions Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for career growth and development.
