Job Overview The Remote Data Entry Assistant/Typist position is a key role within our Accounting/Finance team, responsible for coding and entering data into our computer system or database, verifying the accuracy of the data entered, and performing related clerical duties. As a Data Entry Operator, you will be the backbone of our data management system, ensuring that all information is accurate, up-to-date, and readily available to support our business operations. Key Responsibilities Code and enter data into a computer system or database via a monitor or keyboard, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Correct and update database(s) as necessary, maintaining data integrity and consistency. Verify the accuracy of data entered, identifying and correcting any errors or discrepancies. Generate routine computer reports and/or printouts, providing timely and relevant information to support business decisions. Perform related clerical duties, such as filing, scanning, and data retrieval, as assigned or requested. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications and Preferences To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications: Education: High School or equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in basic math and computer skills. Experience: 6-12 months of experience in data entry or a related field, showcasing your ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Expertise: General office skills, including keyboard skills, with the ability to type accurately and efficiently. While not required, we prefer candidates with: Data Entry experience, demonstrating a strong understanding of data management principles and practices.
