Key Responsibilities In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing a high volume of incoming calls, addressing a wide range of inquiries and issues, including but not limited to: Responding to questions about member eligibility and plan benefits Resolving claim payment issues and providing information on prescription benefits Assisting with patient service needs, such as updating billing information and establishing payment plans Resolving payment inquiries and scheduling appointments as needed Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation of all calls and interactions Utilizing CRM/EMR or call-tracking systems with proficiency to ensure seamless service delivery Success in this position requires a unique blend of strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a genuine service-oriented mindset. You will be the voice of blithequark for many of our members and patients, and your ability to provide an excellent experience on every call is paramount to our mission. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must possess: A high school diploma or equivalent At least 1 year of customer service experience, with a preference for experience in a healthcare or contact center environment Proven experience in assisting callers with eligibility, benefits, claims, payment resolution, billing updates, and appointment scheduling Strong proficiency with CRM/EMR or call-tracking systems, along with accurate call documentation and follow-through skills Excellent communication, de-escalation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage a high call volume and meet performance KPIs A commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and HIPAA/privacy compliance Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Previous experience in a remote or home-based customer service role Certifications or training in customer service, healthcare, or a related field Experience with specific software or systems relevant to the healthcare industry Bilingual or multilingual skills, to support our diverse member and patient base Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate: Exceptional Communication Skills: The ability to communicate clearly, empathetically, and effectively with members and patients, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed.
