Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate in-home veterinary care to pets, focusing on their unique needs and circumstances. Conduct thorough medical examinations, diagnose conditions, and develop personalized treatment plans that prioritize the well-being and comfort of each pet. Essential Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a practicing veterinarian, with a strong foundation in clinical skills and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. Possess a valid driver's license, with a willingness to travel to patient homes and other locations as required. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. assisted, with the physical stamina to perform the demands of the role, including walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, crawling, stooping, standing, and reaching consistently during the workday. Comfortable with prolonged periods of driving, with the ability to navigate effectively and manage time efficiently. Demonstrated manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and the ability to maintain steady hands while using medical tools, with a strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Preferred Qualifications Experience in in-home veterinary care or a related field, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities presented by this model of care. Advanced training or certification in a relevant area, such as pain management, palliative care, or veterinary acupuncture, with a desire to integrate innovative approaches into your practice. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with pet owners, colleagues, and other stakeholders, and navigate complex emotional and social situations with empathy and tact.
