As a Senior Customer Engineer at blithequark, you will be the guiding force behind bringing our product and vision to life for our customers, serving as a trusted technical advisor and helping to drive business growth through net-new and expansion opportunities. About the Role: Senior Customer Engineer at blithequark In this critical role, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining knowledgeable and trusted relationships with our customers and prospects from day one, serving as a technical advisor and helping to drive the sales process forward. You will work closely with our sales team to identify new opportunities, develop and deliver product demonstrations, and provide input on functional and technical sections of RFPs/RFQs. Your expertise and guidance will be essential in helping our customers accelerate their adoption of blithequark's solutions and realize the full value of our platform. Key Responsibilities: Map solutions to value across large and dynamic US customers, bridging both business and technical requirements to drive growth and success. Participate in discovery and drive qualification of new opportunities and expansion customers, identifying areas where blithequark's solutions can add value and support business objectives. Prepare and conduct product demonstrations, highlighting how blithequark's Platform can support our Enterprise customer's needs and drive business outcomes. Advise and support customers' technical stakeholders to accelerate blithequark adoption and value realization, serving as the primary point of contact for technical and product-related queries. Identify, evaluate, recommend, and execute value-based workshops and proof of concepts/values, helping to drive customer engagement and adoption. Prepare and provide input for functional and technical sections of RFPs/RFQs, ensuring that blithequark's solutions are accurately represented and showcased. Support sales and marketing activities, webcasts, field enablement, and asset creation, helping to drive business growth and awareness of blithequark's solutions. Provide advice and feedback to product management and engineering to enhance our offerings, ensuring that blithequark's solutions meet the evolving needs of our customers and the market. Essential Qualifications: 3+ years in a Sales or Customer Engineering or Sales Consulting role, with a proven track record of success in driving business growth and customer adoption. 2+ years experience working in the Data/SaaS space, with a deep understanding of data governance, data catalog, data quality, and data privacy platforms. Experience in Sales or Customer engineering in Enterprise land and expand motions, with a focus on driving growth and adoption through strategic relationships and tailored solutions. Broad knowledge of data management disciplines, including value-based selling, cost-benefit analysis, and ROI analysis, process and project management. Broad experience as a Data Management practitioner in the areas of cataloging, integration, data quality, data and/or enterprise architecture, with experience setting up and/or participating in governance boards a plus. Experience in regulatory compliance and/or (financial/IT) audit is a plus, with a strong understanding of the regulatory landscape and its impact on data management. Experience with leading PaaS providers, Data Lakes, Databases, and Integration platforms, with a deep understanding of the data space and its evolving trends and technologies. A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required, with a strong educational foundation in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, or business. Because this role supports the U.S. Government, it is required that this candidate be a U.S. Citizen who resides on U.S. soil, with the ability to obtain and maintain any necessary security clearances. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship, with all candidates required to have the necessary work authorization to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years in a Sales or Customer Engineering or Sales Consulting role, with a proven track record of success in driving business growth and customer adoption. Experience working with blithequark's solutions, or similar data management platforms, with a deep understanding of the technical and business aspects of the platform. Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as an MBA or MS in Computer Science, with a strong educational foundation in a relevant field. Certifications in data management, such as CDMP or CIPP, with a strong understanding of the regulatory landscape and its impact on data management. Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. Skills and Competencies: An effective communicator, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. A sales- and customer-focused self-starter, with enthusiasm, flexibility, and motivation to drive business growth and customer adoption. A trusted advisor for C-level executives and C-1 level executives, with the ability to build strong relationships and provide strategic guidance. A proven collaborator and liaison with all levels and departments within an organization, with experience and success in a partner-heavy environment. Confident in dispensing knowledge to a highly skilled and experienced audience, with a strong ability to articulate complex technical concepts and provide strategic guidance. Able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of business needs and revenue potential for accounts in the region, with a strong ability to drive business growth and adoption. Excited for continuous learning and development, with an aptitude for grasping technical concepts and a strong desire to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the data space. Willing to travel up to 30% within the region, with a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Measures of Success: Within your first month, you will become familiar with blithequark and understand our customer landscape, with a strong ability to articulate our value proposition and solutions to customers and prospects. Within your second month, you should confidently conduct discovery with customers and prospects, initial product demonstrations, and be able to present solutions aligned to customer value, with a strong ability to drive business growth and adoption. Within your third month, you will become a voice for blithequark within your accounts and for your accounts back within blithequark, educating external and internal stakeholders on features, roadmap, and new use cases, with a strong ability to build strong relationships and provide strategic guidance. Operational excellence, with a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on driving business growth and customer adoption. Compensation and Benefits: The standard base salary range for this position is $140,000-$175,000 per year, with additional commission-based compensation available based on performance. Salary offers are based on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, and location.
