Job Overview The Data Entry Operator position is an entry-level role that is production-oriented, requiring individuals to introduce data into our system, which is then provided to clients for use in their internal adjudication systems. This role is ideal for detail-oriented individuals with excellent typing skills, who are comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. As a Data Entry Operator at blithequark, you will be responsible for entering data from scanned and/or processed images into our data capture system, meeting expected hourly production volume goals, and maintaining quality levels above minimums set by management. Key Responsibilities Enter data from scanned and/or processed images into the data capture system with high accuracy and efficiency. Meet expected hourly production volume goals and maintain quality levels above minimums set by management. Increase speed and difficulty of tasks as expected with training and practice, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to continuous improvement. Maintain awareness of and actively participate in the Corporate Compliance Program, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies. Maintain a neat and orderly workstation, contributing to a productive and organized work environment. Assist with other projects as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support team objectives. Maintain prompt and dependable attendance, with excellent reliability in task completion and follow-up. Qualifications and Skills To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a combination of essential qualifications and skills, including: High School diploma or equivalent required, with a strong foundation in basic mathematical skills and computer literacy. Health claims processing experience, including use of claims processing software and related tools, is highly preferred. Proficient typing skills, with a minimum of 35 words per minute and 98% accuracy, are required (typing test will be administered). Excellent organization skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all aspects of work. Ability to adapt to change in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with fluctuating workloads. Basic knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9/ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding, and HIPAA regulations is preferred. Knowledge of insurance policies, regulations, and best practices is also preferred.
