About the Role Join our team at blithequark as a Bookkeeper and Data Entry Specialist, where you will be responsible for processing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and blithequark's policies. Key Responsibilities The key responsibilities of the Bookkeeper and Data Entry Specialist role at blithequark include: Financial Transaction Processing: Process various financial transactions using blithequark's accounting software, including posting journal entries, analyzing financial information, and preparing comprehensive financial reports. Daily Operations and Reconciliations: Match store deposits to daily sales and credit card postings, process daily reconciliations for Adult Rehabilitation Centers and stores, and assist with store and operating account bank reconciliations. Vendor Management and Reporting: Obtain and maintain vendor W-9 forms and banking information for ACH payments, prepare store sales, rags sales, and vehicle sales reports, and assist with preparing eligible vendors for year-end 1099 processing. Collaborative Support: Work closely with ARC Accountants and the Director of Finance to ensure timely month-end and year-end closing, provide exceptional support to team members, and maintain positive working relationships. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, with a strong understanding of financial principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Sage, and experience with Excel. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with multi-location accounting is preferred, but not required. A degree in accounting or bookkeeping, or equivalent experience, is desirable.
