Remote Seasonal Artwork Customizer (Part-Time to Full-Time)
Description • Join UncommonGoods as a Remote Seasonal Artwork Customizer, where your eye for detail and creative flair will help thousands of customers turn meaningful moments into one-of-a-kind keepsakes. You will be the final creative touchpoint between our artists’ original designs and the personalized gifts that land under holiday trees, on birthday tables, and inside “just-because” envelopes across the country. • Own the end-to-end customization workflow for hundreds of daily orders: review uploaded photos, crop and color-correct for print quality, place text within artist templates, and proof every piece so the finished product looks exactly as the customer imagined. You will juggle multiple file formats (JPG, PNG, PDF, SVG) and product lines ranging from framed art prints to laser-engraved cutting boards. • Become the resident expert on our proprietary design tool suite—an in-browser editor, Adobe Illustrator templates, and a cloud-based DAM—while also suggesting improvements that shave seconds off repetitive tasks. Your macros, shortcuts, and naming conventions will become the gold standard for the entire seasonal team. • Collaborate in real time with Customer Service, Production, and Merchandising via Slack huddles and Monday.com boards to resolve last-minute photo swaps, spelling corrections, or color-profile mismatches before an order hits the press. Your quick pivots prevent late-night reprints and keep our “made-to-order in 3 days” promise intact. • Uphold UncommonGoods’ sustainability promise by flagging any artwork that may need eco-friendly ink substitutions or advising on packaging choices that reduce dimensional weight. You’ll log these micro-decisions in our impact tracker so Marketing can share the cumulative carbon savings with customers. • Contribute to the seasonal playbook by writing concise SOPs and 2-minute Loom videos that help next year’s hires ramp up in half the time. Past seasonal staff have turned these guides into permanent roles—your documentation could be the portfolio piece that launches your full-time career here. • Flex your schedule around peak demand: October through December you may log 30-35 hours per week; January through March shifts drop to 10-15 hours. You can swap shifts with teammates across time zones, making this role ideal for students, caregivers, or digital nomads who want reliable income without sacrificing life’s adventures. • Earn the opportunity to transition into year-round roles in Product Design, Creative Ops, or Customer Experience. Three of last year’s seasonal customizers now lead our personalization roadmap and mentor new hires—your holiday hustle could become a long-term home for your creativity. • Immerse yourself in a culture that celebrates quirky art and responsible commerce. Monthly virtual “Show & Tell” sessions let you present your favorite customized piece, while quarterly stipends fund your own art supplies so you never lose touch with the maker spirit that fuels everything we do.
