Job Title: Remote Medical Customer Service Representative Responsibilities: • Conduct professional, courteous, and articulate interviews and follow-up calls with proposed insureds to gather pertinent personal and medical information. • Review documents, notes, and correspondence to obtain additional or anecdotal information. • Accurately enter data into the Application Interview System (AIS) and Assistant Underwriting System (AURA) to document case activity and ensure accurate processing and approval of life insurance policy contracts. • Provide accurate, prompt, and professional service to all inquiries received by phone or in writing while maintaining departmental and time service standards. • Correspond effectively within the department, underwriting staff, vendors, and other departments to resolve problems and expedite business. • Communicate App Assist policies, procedures, and guidelines to internal and external customers effectively. Essential Skills: • 3 years of administrative or customer service experience. • Strong communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office. • Detail-oriented with medical knowledge. • Proficient in data entry and customer service. Additional Skills & Qualifications: • 3+ years of customer service experience, preferably in a call center. • Solid medical vocabulary and comfort with medical terminology. • Strong administrative and organizational skills. • Proficient with computers, as remote work is required at times. Work Environment: The position is remote, with shifts from Monday to Friday, either 8:30 am - 5:00 pm or 9:30 am - 6:00 pm. Candidates must have the ability to connect a computer to a router and maintain a private office space. The team consists of 7-10 case managers, and the initial phase involves learning through customer interviews. The company offers a massive office environment with over 400 employees, and the opportunity to transition to a permanent position with benefits.
