Logistics coordinator support
Key Responsibilities • Support the logistics and supply chain team in coordinating inbound and outbound shipments. • Track, monitor, and update shipment statuses across multiple carriers (FedEx, UPS, USPS, freight, etc.). • Maintain accurate shipping, delivery, and inventory records in internal databases. • Assist in preparing shipping labels, packing lists, and other required documentation. • Communicate with vendors, carriers, and internal departments to ensure on-time deliveries. • Resolve transportation-related issues, including delays, missing packages, or damaged goods. • Organize logistics schedules, dispatch sheets, and shipment manifests for team reference. • Support warehouse and procurement operations by verifying order accuracy and tracking supplies. • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly logistics performance reports. • Ensure compliance with company shipping policies, safety standards, and transportation regulations. • Provide administrative and clerical assistance to the logistics manager and other departments. Qualifications & Skills • High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred. • 1–3 years of experience in logistics, shipping coordination, or supply chain support (preferred but not required for entry-level). • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills. • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and shipping software or ERP systems. • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. • Strong analytical and record-keeping abilities. • Familiarity with logistics terminology and carrier systems is an advantage.
