As a remote customer service representative, you will be an integral part of our team, working closely with customers to resolve their queries, address their concerns, and provide personalized support. **Job Summary** We are seeking an experienced Service Center Assistant to join our remote customer service team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, resolving customer complaints, and ensuring that all interactions are handled in a professional and courteous manner. This is a contract position, with the possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent role, contingent on business needs. **Key Responsibilities** * Act as the primary liaison with customers, resolving problems related to the application process and service * Communicate clearly and professionally with customers via telephone and/or written correspondence regarding all aspects of claims process * Educate and inform customers about the documentation required to process a claim, required time frames, payment information, and claim status * Enter verbal and written application information accurately into the claims management system * Assign new claims to the appropriate claim's handler * Direct customer calls to the correct person at all locations * Participate in and maintain a quality service culture within the Customer Service Team * Attend scheduled work hours and be available to work during peak periods **Additional Responsibilities** * Perform other duties as assigned by management * Support the organization's quality program(s) **Qualifications** * Education: High school diploma or GED required * Experience: One (1) year customer service experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred * Experience in an inbound call center preferred * Skills & Knowledge: + Knowledgeable in disability plan eligibility, coverage, and benefits + Good customer service skills + Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills + PC literate, including Microsoft Office products + Strong organizational skills + Good interpersonal skills + Ability to work in a team environment + Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies **Work Environment and Culture** As a remote customer service representative, you will work from the comfort of your own home, with the flexibility to manage your schedule and work environment.
