**Experienced Pharmacy Customer Service Associate Certification – Delivering Exceptional Patient Care and Experience**

You will be responsible for using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, processing prescriptions, and providing customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. **Job Responsibilities/Tasks** As a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate Certification, your key responsibilities will include: ### Customer Experience * Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. * Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience. * Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience. * Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service. * Recommend items for sale to customers and recommend trade-up and/or companion items. ### Operations * Register customer purchases on assigned cash register, collect cash and distribute change as requested. * Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed. * Take customers to OTC aisle when possible to assist in locating products. * Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records. * Check in and price merchandise as required or as directed by store manager or communicated by the shift leader. ### Pharmacy Operations * Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow. * Use pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring information is entered correctly. * Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs. * Verify medicine is correct and check for possible interactions. * Report, immediately, prescription errors to pharmacist on duty and adhere to Company policies and procedures in relation to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program. ### Additional Responsibilities * Handle telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians. * Process (corrects and resubmits) manual claims for third-party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner. * Assist and support Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals. * Maintain knowledge of Company asset protection techniques and file claims for warehouse overages (merchandise received, but not billed), shortages (merchandise billed, but not received), order errors, or damaged goods involving Rx drugs. ### Training & Personal Development * Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration. * Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate and acquire continuing education credits. * Maintain knowledge and skill in healthcare and pharmacy, including latest news and developments. **About Us** Founded in 1901, blithequark proudly serves nearly 9 million customers and patients each day across its approximately 8,500 stores throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico. blithequark has approximately 220,000 team members, including nearly 90,000 healthcare service providers, and is committed to being the first choice for pharmacy, retail, and health services, building trusted relationships that create healthier futures for customers, patients, team members, and communities. **Basic Qualifications** * Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
