Job Overview: Patient Care Customer Service Representative We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Patient Care Customer Service Representative to join our Sleep Central (After Hours Call Center) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient experiences through timely and effective communication. This is a remote opportunity, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home, with flexible scheduling options to suit your needs. Key Responsibilities: Accurately transcribe patient profiles over the telephone, including data entry of information and possible outbound calling Obtain medically necessary documentation and process patient orders through our online pharmacy system Resolve tracking issues and reschedule shipping orders for patients, ensuring timely delivery of equipment and supplies Troubleshoot problems based on patient input, providing empathetic and effective solutions to ensure patient satisfaction Verify orders are complete and accurate, ensuring seamless delivery of care to our patients Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of our team and the delivery of exceptional patient care Essential Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need: A high school diploma or GED equivalent, with experience in the medical field and administrative record management A strong customer service background, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on patient-centered care Basic computer skills, including email transmission and communication, internet navigation and research, and Microsoft applications (Word and Excel) Ability to maintain confidentiality and practice discretion and caution when handling sensitive patient information Preferred Qualifications: While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience in a call center or customer service environment, with a focus on patient care and satisfaction Medical terminology and knowledge of home medical equipment and supplies Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of our patients Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions Skills and Competencies: To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals Strong customer service skills, with a focus on patient-centered care and satisfaction Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on attention to detail and accuracy Basic computer skills, including email transmission and communication, internet navigation and research, and Microsoft applications (Word and Excel) Ability to maintain confidentiality and practice discretion and caution when handling sensitive patient information Career Growth and Development Opportunities At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
