Are you ready to take off on your next career with us? **Job Summary** As a Part-Time Airline Ramp/Customer Service Agent, you will play a critical role in maintaining a satisfactory quantity and quality of work by assigned personnel. Your responsibilities will include explaining and demonstrating work procedures and methods, including safety, apportioning and scheduling assigned work, observing and analyzing methods used and results achieved, bringing problems to the attention of management, and assisting management in the utilization of tools, equipment, and materials. You will also comply with blithequark site security procedures for assigned warehouses and other operations. **Responsibilities** • Load and unload aircraft of cargo weighing up to 70 lbs. in and out of aircraft within confined cargo areas, push, pull, and position. • Drive vehicles with gross weights of 3,000 to 80,000 lbs. in areas congested with aircraft, moving and stationary vehicles, and equipment, as well as position vehicles up to aircraft requiring depth perception and the ability to distinguish colors, red, green, and yellow. • Engage in push-out of aircraft driving an 80,000 lb. vehicle or assist by providing a guide function to the driver using depth perception in congested areas or speaking to the cockpit during push-back procedures. • Transport cargo to and from aircraft driving a 3,000 lb. vehicle using depth perception to negotiate the vehicle with attached carts through congested areas. Read off-load sheets to determine the destination of cargo. • While performing aircraft push-out and/or towing functions, engage in proper specific ground-to-cockpit communication via hand signals and voice commands, with and without the assistance of sight or visual aids. • Ability to successfully communicate with others. • Ability to work in a high-noise level environment. • Ability to understand and react to verbal commands and safety warnings, with and without the assistance of sight or visual aids. • Pull, push, and lift bags weighing up to 70 lbs. onto or from a conveyor belt. • Pull a water hose from a stationary cabinet and connect it to an aircraft. • Lift, connect overhead, and remove overhead, 40 lb. KVA electric cable to/from an aircraft. • De-ice aircraft at heights of up to 20-80 ft. lifting and holding the nose, spray the exterior of wings and fuselage with glycol. **Agent Passenger Service Responsibilities** • Make reservations, prepare and issue tickets and itineraries, compute fares, issue refunds, check baggage, collect excess baggage charges. • Provide passengers with general travel information; meet aircraft at the gate or loading area, perform duties in the departure lounges or at boarding gates when enplaning and deplaning passengers. • Check passenger tickets for validity and lift the appropriate coupon, complete all necessary arrangements for accommodating passengers holding reservations, standbys, and their luggage. • Determine flight close-out time and prepare, complete, and check various flight forms for accuracy, invalidate tickets, and complete post-departure procedures. • Perform lost and found activities. **Minimum Requirements** • High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent • Must be at least 18 years of age • Valid driver's license • This job is covered by a collective bargaining agreement of the Transport Workers Union (TWU), a labor union which requires joining the TWU and paying union dues. **Preferred Skills** • Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language. • Ability to speak and be understood in giving directions/information to passengers. • Hear and respond to customers. • Tolerate and answer repetitious questions from customers in a friendly, outgoing manner. • Reports to work on a regular and timely basis. • Ability to confront and question unauthorized personnel in secured areas, and report their presence to authorities as necessary. **Physical Requirements/Working Conditions** • Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds (31.9 kg). • Must be able to perform the following functions in variable weather conditions as well as environmental conditions, i.e., jet engine fumes, vehicle emissions, dust, and jet engine noise. • Twist, turn, stoop, bend, reach, and grip while checking baggage. • Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift. • Must be willing to wear uniform and insignia as prescribed by the Company. • Personal appearance and grooming that will present a favorable corporate image. • Ability to judge distance. **Perks & Benefits** • Want your pay in advance?
