Job Overview We are currently seeking experienced Customer Service Representatives to support the Department of Education in providing top-notch service to students and borrowers. As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for responding to incoming calls, chats, and emails, as well as making outbound calls regarding Federal Student Aid (FSA) Loan Servicing. You will utilize your excellent communication skills, knowledge of student financial assistance programs, and problem-solving abilities to resolve customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner. Key Responsibilities Respond to incoming calls, chats, and emails from customers, providing timely and accurate information and resolutions to their inquiries and concerns Make outbound calls to customers regarding FSA Loan Servicing, utilizing persuasive communication skills to address their needs and provide support Utilize computerized systems, knowledge bases, and standard technology to respond to customer inquiries, track interactions, and perform job duties Process requests received via general correspondence, notate accounts, and take actions as needed to resolve customer issues Provide feedback, input on call trends, and suggestions for process improvements to enhance the overall customer experience Support Contact Center expectations, departmental and corporate policies, and procedures to ensure seamless operations and high-quality service delivery Maintain regular use of feedback tools to give and receive constructive feedback on call quality and department tasks, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and growth Essential Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent with at least 6 months of customer service experience Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations Ability to speak and read English clearly, professionally, and fluently, with strong written and verbal communication skills Basic math and PC skills, including MS Office applications, with the ability to learn and utilize new software and systems Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction, quality, and productivity Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in customer service, call center operations, or a related field, with a strong understanding of student financial assistance programs and FSA Loan Servicing Knowledge of federal student aid programs, loan servicing, and financial assistance, with the ability to apply this knowledge to resolve complex customer inquiries Experience with computerized systems, software applications, and technology, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and platforms Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box to resolve customer issues and improve processes Career Growth and Development At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
