Job Overview Key Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact for call escalations, responding to patient inquiries, and resolving billing-related issues in a timely and professional manner. Relay messages from requesters to appropriate team members or departments, utilizing multiple software applications and ensuring effective communication. Assist with coordinating incoming and outgoing billing requests, facilitating responses, and conducting follow-ups to ensure timely resolution. Ensure all patient information is kept confidential and secure in accordance with HIPAA regulations, maintaining the highest standards of data protection and patient privacy. Meet productivity targets, working a minimum of 70 accounts per day, while maintaining exceptional quality and customer satisfaction standards. Team Collaboration and Support Participate in regular team meetings via video or teleconference, contributing to discussions, and sharing best practices to enhance team performance. Demonstrate competency in the performance of job-related skills, providing excellent customer service, and operating equipment and mechanical devices to maintain a functional, effective, and safe environment. Adhere to policies, procedures, and guidelines relative to departmental operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and blithequark standards. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will possess: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, insurance companies, and internal stakeholders. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complex billing inquiries and resolve issues efficiently. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Preferred Qualifications Preferred candidates will possess: Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a healthcare or billing environment. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and guidelines, with a strong understanding of patient privacy and data protection principles. Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management systems (PMS).
