*REMOTE* Structural Steel Estimator (Marine/Bridge Fabrication)
Job Title: Remote Structural Estimator (Marine/Bridge Fabrication) Location: Washington State Compensation: $105,000-$130,000 Benefits: • 401K program • 100% Coverage for the employee for medical, dental, vision insurance coverage - 70% Coverage for the family • 4 weeks PTO + paid holidays Company Overview: Tiello has partnered with a leading Structural Steel Fabricator/Erector who is looking for an Estimator for structural steel, marine and bridge fabrication and erection projects up to $15MM+ in the Pacific Northwest. Role Summary: The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in estimating for large-scale Structural Steel Erection and Fabrication Projects. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the bid/estimating process from review of project documents and plans through submission. You will be responsible for developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for bids and ensuring projects stay within budget and timeline. The ideal candidate will have the ability to identify all scope items and requirements from both project drawings and details. Your primary goal is to produce accurate estimates and value driven bids with the required level of quality and customer satisfaction. Project Type: Marine and Bridge Construction, Structural Steel Fabrication and Erection, Seismic Upgrades, and Specialty Infrastructure Projects Job Responsibilities: • Review and analyze project plans and specifications to create detailed and accurate project cost estimates. • Work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure successful bid proposals and accurate project cost forecasting. • Coordinate with other departments to seamlessly transition from pre-construction to construction phases. • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and availability of materials. • Oversee the development and implementation of estimating tools and processes. • Provide guidance and direction to the estimating team regarding bidding strategies and techniques. • Train and mentor estimators on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices. • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as necessary to ensure accurate project cost estimates. • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards. • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Construction Management or Engineering, or equivalent work experience • Minimum 5+ years of estimating experience in the construction industry; must understand commercial construction & estimating processes • Marine and bridge fabrication and erection experience preferred • Strong problem-solving, leadership and management skills • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively function in a team environment • Excellent time management skills, ability to work on multiple projects and be a self-starter Outstanding attention to detail • Thorough understanding of construction bid process, including the ability to read & interpret contract documents • Excellent computer skills; must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Bluebeam • Familiarity with software such as Revit Structures, Tekla Structures & AutoCAD preferred • Knowledge working with scheduling software, i.e. Microsoft Project, Primavera, etc. • Experience with estimating software, i.e. Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, ProEst, Planswift, etc. is preferred • Willingness to travel or pass background/drug screen • Eligibility to work in the U.S. Legal & EEO Language: Tiello LLC is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
