MENTAL HEALTH PROF - ER - ON CALL (Night Shift - Virtual Position Optional)
• JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS • Job Summary: • Interviews and interacts with patients and when indicated, their advocates, to obtain mental status and psychiatric and social histories relevant to their current emotional/behavioral problem(s). • Uses current evidence-based knowledge and skills to assess psychiatric emergencies and to provide sound, professional care and crisis intervention services to patients. • Education: • Position requires graduation from an accredited Masters Degree Program in a mental health discipline (i.e., social work, counseling, or psychology). • Registration/Certification/Licensure: • A license in their particular discipline (e.g., social work, counseling, or psychology - L.C.S.W., L.C.P.C., C.S.) must be obtained within 12 months of the employee's hire or transfer date. • Experience: • Position requires a minimum of 6 months postgraduate clinical experience. • Other Requirements: • Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements. • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays to assist in achieving 24/7 on-call coverage. • Effectively communicates with all patient populations and staff by implementing organization-wide communication techniques as a daily practice. • Effectively advocates for quality patient safety and satisfaction as a daily practice. • Demonstrated proficiency of computer skills necessary to effectively complete position requirements. • Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment producing quality work.
