Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions is a leader in the specialty insurance market, committed to helping businesses thrive. They are seeking an Underwriting Assistant to provide technical services and administrative support for their International Bond & Marine Insurance team.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for sorting, routing, and processing all incoming and outgoing mail
- Types and proofreads documents as needed. Scans and attaches documentation into underwriting system
- Orders various reports, such as MVR’s and ISO rate surveys, as applicable
- Processes policy filings, cancellation notices, reinstatement notices, and other insurance-related documents as required, while adhering to time service standards
- Handles conditional renewal notices processing in accordance with state requirements
- Processes incoming new business submissions, while adhering to time service standards. Processes incoming endorsement requests, including referrals to underwriting and may process basic endorsement transactions
- Assists with special projects as needed
Skills
- High School diploma required, with demonstrated experience
- 0 - 2 years of business experience. Exposure to insurance is a plus!
