Title: Senior Associate, Institutional Giving (Grant Writer)

Job Description:
Team Rubicon (TR) is seeking a Senior Associate, Institutional Giving (Grant Writer) to join TR's Development x Institutional Giving team! The Senior Associate, Institutional Giving (Grant Writer) will develop and advance strategic fundraising goals while creating meaningful relationships with our passionate donor base. This position will require the ability to navigate complex org charts, budgets, and calendars to inform proposals, access grant opportunities, and ensure high-quality, timely, and accurate reports. The Senior Associate, Institutional Giving (Grant Writer) will be responsible for submitting grant solicitations (proposals, letters of Inquiry, requests for proposals, etc.) and grant reports (expense reports, impact reports, etc.) for grants ranging between $100k - $500k.
Every day will be a challenge, but every month brings new opportunities for an organization that is quickly becoming a household name in disaster response. This position reports to TR’s Manager, Institutional Giving and is based remote anywhere within the United States.
Duties:
Establish and maintain personal contact and relationships with a portfolio of donors.
Develop and write grant proposals for corporate, foundation, nonprofit, and government donors; assemble and submit grant requests, including letters, proposals, budgets, and presentations.
Ensure that all grant writing and reporting complies with specific donor rules and regulations, as well as Team Rubicon’s style and standards.
Keep multiple projects progressing simultaneously, meeting multiple deadlines, managing supplemental materials, donor needs, and completing activities required for successful proposal submissions.
Work with Finance, Programs, Technology, and People Operations to gather information necessary to report to funders.
Persuasively communicate the organization's mission and programs, including, but not limited to, intended inputs to outcomes, to potential funders and provide stewardship to donors, in coordination with TR Development team members.
Education and Background:
Bachelor's Degree in English, Creative Writing, International Relations/Affairs, or relevant field, or equivalent experience
3-4 years of relevant experience in grant writing or non-profit development
Experience with proposal writing and external donor communications
Experience with external relationship management
Strong written communication skills: ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals
Ability to manage a portfolio of donor relationships independently with minimal oversight
Special Requirements:
This is a full-time; REMOTE position and can be based anywhere within the United States and provides a flexible & non-traditional work schedule
Other Travel: 10% non-local travel to support broader organizational activities and donor meetings

Pay Range:
$61,768.53 - $92,126.36 per year
The hiring range reflects where in the range we most likely intend to hire for this role. Additionally, compensation within that range can vary for several reasons including market conditions, cost of living, skills/capabilities, experience, etc.
