They are seeking a Legal Administrative Support role to provide administrative assistance in a fast-paced civil litigation environment, supporting Law Department colleagues including attorneys and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support and assistance to Law Department colleagues, including rotation reception duties
- Reception area/phone responsibilities
- Processing mail
- Processing authorizations
- Closing files
- Ordering/downloading records
- Bookmarking medical records
- Knowledge of New York E-filing
- Serving discovery responses and pleading with the court
- Other tasks as assigned and may vary depending on team assignments
Skills
- Office environment experience
- Strong customer service background
- Demonstrated ability to work and manage a high-volume workload while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills, prioritizing, decision making, multitasking, time management, and proactivity
- Strong written and oral communication skills (attention to detail, accuracy of data entry)
- Accurate typing skills
- Accurate and efficient in an electronic environment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of Adobe
- Working knowledge of a Case Management system
- Working knowledge of a Document Storage system
- Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately
- Legal office environment experience
- Knowledge of legal and medical terminology, local and state rules regarding pleadings and pre-trial matters, deadlines, and filing requirements
- Experience with medical records collection through subpoenas and/or authorizations
- Experience with New York E-filing
