As part of this endeavor, we're expanding our team and seeking a highly skilled International Disney+ Subscriber Planning Manager to be at the forefront of our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business's growth and success.
About the Role & Team
The Subscription Planning DTC team is a dynamic group of professionals with diverse backgrounds in consulting, investment banking, private equity, media & entertainment, and technology. As in-house advisers to DTC's executive leadership, they are responsible for subscriber, engagement, and revenue growth planning and reporting. As an International Disney+ Subscriber Planning Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the DTC business, focusing on Disney+ International. Your expertise will be crucial in leading subscriber and revenue business planning and communication with the local EMEA team, identifying key business issues, providing solutions, and evaluating strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Become the region point person and partner for key stakeholders in both the EMEA regional team and centralized DTC teams, providing ongoing support to senior executives.
- Lead the subscriber business planning process for the EMEA region, with a deep understanding and justification of key underlying subscription metrics based on in-depth trending analysis and assessment of future initiatives.
- Predict how subscribers will be impacted by internal factors (content, product, etc.) and external factors (macroeconomics, competitors, etc.), working closely with centralized DTC teams to enhance model accuracy.
- Maintain a strong understanding of operating performance (e.g., KPIs, subscribers), major deals and transactions, issues and challenges facing the businesses, and relevant trends in the streaming business.
- Develop impactful, compelling presentation materials that effectively communicate subscriber projections, drivers, business performance, and risks & opportunities to leadership.
- Provide strategic guidance and recommendations for new business cases and initiatives, including special promotions, price changes, product launches, local content, and the launch of Disney services in new countries.
- Work with the local EMEA team to understand and build both future and existing partnerships into the subscriber forecast model, supporting the structuring of partnership deals to maximize net subscriber growth and operating income.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
To excel in this role, you must possess:
- A minimum of four years of professional work experience in media, tech, strategy, business planning, management consulting, or investment banking/private equity.
- Significant analytical and modeling experience, including the ability to ingest and analyze large amounts of data to drive decision-making.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (including PowerPoint) and the ability to simplify complex matters for an executive audience.
- The ability to work cross-functionally in a team environment, managing many stakeholders and building relationships throughout the company.
- Extremely organized with the ability to prioritize activities, manage timelines, and deal effectively with pressure.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working without guidance in a fast-growing environment with multiple partners.
- A passion for the media industry, international business, and content, as well as a natural curiosity.
Preferred Qualifications

- Familiarity with working in or with global, large organizations.
- A Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier school with a major in Finance, Economics, or a similar discipline with an analytical bias.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
Disney offers a competitive rewards package that includes a salary range of $124,900 to $167,500 per year for this position in Santa Monica, CA, depending on experience and other factors. The compensation package may also include a bonus and/or long-term incentive units. Additionally, you will have access to a comprehensive benefits program that includes health and savings benefits, educational opportunities, and special extras that only Disney can provide.
