About the Role & Team
As a Guest Experience Manager, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring that our guests have an unforgettable experience. You'll work closely with our accomplished Cast to maintain efficient and safe operations, promote an immersive guest experience, and increase Cast engagement. This is a part-time role that reports to the Food and Beverage Proprietor, offering you the opportunity to be part of a dynamic leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with guests and Cast Members to resolve any issues, ensuring prompt and effective solutions.
- Foster a diverse and inclusive team environment, helping Cast Members develop their skills and grow professionally.
- Recognize and coach Cast behaviors to ensure excellence in the Five Keys: safety, courtesy, inclusion, show, and efficiency.
- Act as a teacher and developer, taking a sincere interest in the Cast's success and well-being.
- Exceed guest expectations, driving positive feedback and results through exceptional service.
- Advocate for change, inclusion, innovation, and continuous improvement, staying ahead of the curve in guest experience.
- Partner and collaborate with other leadership teams to ensure seamless operations and shared success.
- Serve as a functional/subject matter expert of the operation, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Participate in departmental meetings, communicating relevant information to Cast Members and stakeholders.
- Make balanced daily operational decisions that benefit guests, Cast Members, and the business.
- Manage daily staffing levels based on demand, providing daily results and insights.
- Support local projects, monitoring potential impacts to the guest and Cast experience.
- Implement Resort plans relating to cost control and other food & beverage projects, driving operational efficiency.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership role within Food & Beverage, preferably in a hospitality or entertainment environment.
- Experience with multiple styles of service, including Quick Service, Table Service, Concierge, Bar/Lounge, and Pool/Cabanas.
- The ability to lead a team, hold self and others accountable, and manage conflict effectively.
- Demonstrated operational guest service experience and skills, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional results.
- The ability to coach Cast Members to correct behavior across lines of business, promoting a culture of excellence.
- Proficiency in basic computer functions, with the ability to learn new technology and systems.
- An understanding of the financial aspects of an operation, including operating budget, revenue, labor, inventory systems, and costs.
- A flexible attitude towards work schedules, including weekends, variable shifts, and holidays.
- The ability to think beyond your immediate area, partnering with other hotel departments to drive success.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications can give you a competitive edge:
- Experience leading multiple locations at one time, with a proven track record of success.
- Labor Management experience, with the ability to optimize staffing and labor costs.
- Food Cost Control experience, with a focus on minimizing waste and maximizing profitability.
- High-level Guest Service experience, with a deep understanding of what drives guest satisfaction.
- Team Development experience, with a focus on building high-performing teams.
- Experience leading in a union environment, with a understanding of labor laws and regulations.
- Bilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages.
Education
A High School diploma or equivalent is required for this role.
