About the Role: Customer Service Representative (Student Loan Advisor)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Customer Service Representative to join our team as a Student Loan Advisor. As a key member of our customer contact center, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our customers, answering their questions, and resolving any issues they may have. Key Responsibilities:

• Take incoming calls, use chat, and complete outbound calls as necessary to assist customers with their queries and concerns
• Provide detailed information and answer frequent questions about student loans and related products
• Process applications and resolve emerging problems that our customer accounts may face with accuracy and efficiency
• Practice active listening, be empathic, and communicate clearly with customers in a positive and professional manner
• Utilize standard technology such as a telephone, email, and web browser to perform duties
• Navigate to pre-scripted responses and read them verbatim to provide basic general and claims-specific information
• Follow established and documented policies and standard operating procedures, including working within various systems, timekeeping, and documentation of calls
• Assist callers with filling out their applications and submitting them electronically to plan providers for processing
• Complete basic call logs, documentation, and related call details for each phone inquiry

Schedule and Work Arrangements:

This is an in-center position, with the possibility of working from home after 90 days, provided you meet the required performance, attendance, and compliance standards. The schedule for this role is as follows:

• Monday: 11:45am-8:15pm
• Tuesday: 10:45am-7:15pm
• Wednesday: 10:45am-7:15pm
• Thursday: 8:45am-5:15pm
• Friday: 8:45am-5:15pm

Requirements and Preferred Skills:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to speak and read English clearly, professionally, and fluently
• Minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute
• Experience working with a personal computer and the Windows operating system
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized while completing simultaneous tasks
• Strong computer skills with proficiencies in Excel and Word
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Knowledge of contact center technology
• Excellent command of the English language, with effective use of grammar skills
• Excellent communication etiquette
