Job Overview

Your duties will include assisting customers with questions and recommendations, managing sales transactions, maintaining the security of cash and protecting company assets, keeping the store well-stocked, and receiving merchandise. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe store environment, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations to ensure a personalized shopping experience
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register, maintaining accuracy and efficiency
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets by following established procedures and protocols
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise to ensure a seamless shopping experience for customers
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
• Maintain the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or managers to support the overall success of the store

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent customer service and relationship management skills, as well as strong organizational and communication skills. Previous customer service experience in a retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred. You should also be able to follow instructions and interpret operational documents, and be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height.

Essential Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required

• Previous experience working in a fast-paced retail environment
