Key Responsibilities
- Issue, reissue, and refund passenger tickets, as well as book, ticket, and confirm flight reservations.
- Rebook passengers on oversold flights and during irregular operations, ensuring minimal disruption to their travel plans.
- Perform passenger check-in, front seat assignment, and issue updates, while also handling oversold seat assignments.
- Issue vouchers and provide direction to passengers for hotel accommodations, meals, and transportation, coordinating refuel and refreshments as needed.
- Work at gate reader/scanner and related tasks, including pre-boarding, monitoring/checking carry-on items, and gate line management.
- Operate jetways/spans for boarding and deplaning passengers, making boarding and departure gate announcements.
- Deliver domestic/international flight documents, perform passenger service flight close-out procedures, and accept, check, and tag passengers' baggage at destination stations.
- Maintain a schedule of flight check-in processes, perform customer support hands-on training, and process credit card transactions at stands in the ticket counter area.
- Assist passengers with self-service kiosk check-in and stand baggage handling at ticket counters, while also managing lines at ticket counter stands and ticket counters.
- Clear/confirm international documents at booths in the ticket counter area and activation stations, accepting and activating passengers' self-labeled bags.
- Provide assistance to clients requiring special help or in-station, including boarding, deplaning, and handling non-ambulatory passengers, special assistance passengers, and unaccompanied minors.
- Perform client care work related to handling regional flights and contractor/ground handling arrangements or agreements.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance on location, including fulfilling any mandatory overtime requirements.
- Respond and assist during security or emergency situations, providing connecting passengers with gate information and delivering quality customer service in a professional manner.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and performance standards, completing task-relevant training phases and complying with regulations.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Bilingual language skills are preferred in certain locations.
- A valid driver's license as required by local authorities.
- The ability to pass FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable.
- The ability to obtain appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security identifications, if applicable.
- Completion of a pre-employment drug screen, comprehensive background check, and fingerprinting to meet company and security requirements.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Sabre or other Passenger Service Systems.
- Previous face-to-face customer service experience.
- Experience working in a high-paced environment.
