Pharmacy - Pharmacy Manager 35 days ago Portage, MI This direct hire opportunity is for a Senior Quality Manager specializing in Quality and Compliance within a mail order specialty pharmacy environment. This role is based in Portage, MI, with a flexible work schedule that includes a combination of onsite and remote work. Candidates located within the Midwest region are encouraged to , as occasional travel to Kalamazoo may be required. The Senior Quality Manager will oversee the Quality Management Program (QMP) across multiple service lines, including retail, infusion, specialty, and Treatment Navigation Team operations. This position ensures operational execution, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in patient care and safety. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, implementation, and management of the QMP across all service lines. Develop, revise, and operationalize policies and SOPs to maintain compliance with URAC, ACHC, CMS, PBM, and other standards. Define, monitor, and report key performance indicators (KPIs), creating dashboards and quality reports for leadership. Oversee incident reporting and Good Catch programs, ensuring timely documentation and follow-up. Conduct trend analysis, root cause investigations, risk assessments, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Coach staff on root cause analysis and Just Culture principles; incorporate lessons learned into training and operations. Collaborate with leaders across departments such as retail, specialty, infusion, marketing, IT, finance, and billing to align quality and compliance initiatives. Serve as an administrator of the QMP and participate actively in quality committees; report progress to executive leadership. Support staff development including pharmacy student and intern rotations; perform pharmacist duties as needed. Qualifications: Advanced healthcare degree such as PharmD, RPh, RN, or equivalent with an active Michigan license. Minimum of 5 years experience in healthcare quality leadership, preferably in pharmacy operations or treatment navigation. Strong familiarity with quality improvement methodologies, risk management, and accreditation standards. Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills. Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives. Preferred Certifications: Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) Lean/Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, or Certified Lean Healthcare Professional (CLHP) Certified Manager of Quality / Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) Compliance & Ethics credentials (CCEP or CHC) are a plus.
