As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data analytics and science solutions that drive business decisions and improve customer experiences. You will lead a team of engineers and work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy data analytics and science solutions that meet the needs of our business. **Key Responsibilities** * Lead and coach a team of engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and direction to ensure the success of the team * Develop and implement modern software development practices through code reviews and design audits * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop data analytics and science solutions that meet the needs of our business * Grow "top-tier" engineering for our services by ensuring that services and components are modularized, secure, reliable, diagnosable, easily observable, and reusable * Develop and implement test coverage for services, coordinate and execute integration tests, and resolve trouble spots * Ensure testability, scalability/observability, reliability, and effectiveness, and understand when code is fit to be shared and deployed * Focus on business needs through an data-driven approach * Investigate and enhance automation, reliability, and monitoring for deployed items * Set the strategic vision for data analytics and science, aligning with business objectives and providing direction on the overall direction of data analytics technical drives * Plan, develop, and enhance complex data models and reporting designs * Drive the design and execution of scalable and efficient data analytics and science solutions * Ensure the integrity, security, and performance of data products and reporting solutions by collaborating with stages, data design, and service teams * Define and execute the long-term technical strategy for data analytics, incorporating emerging technologies and industry trends * Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and assess their relevance to the organization * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, business analysts, data engineers, platform architects, and IT experts, to develop comprehensive data solutions * Foster a collaborative environment that enables data sharing and expertise development, leading technical authority discussions, lunch and learn sessions, and community building within the engineering community * Establish and authorize data quality guidelines and best practices, and execute processes for data approval, cleansing, and precision * Assess and select suitable data analytics and science tools to address business needs, lead requirement meetings, and partner closely with stages and service teams during the assessment and execution of these tools * Collaborate with engineering and development teams to create and maintain documentation for data analytics processes, reporting designs, and data models * Monitor the performance of data analytics and science solutions and provide technical guidance to drive stability and scalability of data products and reporting solutions * Execute measures to enhance performance and investigate issues * Provide critical insights and recommendations based on data analytics to support decision-making at the business level * Recommend system upgrades to support business growth and advancing technology requirements * Utilize blithequark services, such as blithequark SQL DW (Neural connection), ADLS, Sky blue Event Hub, Universe, Databricks, Delta-Lake, to improve and accelerate the delivery of our data products and services * Execute large data and NoSQL solutions by developing adaptable data handling stages to drive high-value insights to the organization **Requirements** * Demonstrated experience with at least 15+ years of active involvement in data analytics and science roles * 5+ years of experience in leadership or senior roles, demonstrating the ability to successfully lead and guide a team * 5+ years of experience working with cloud technologies, such as ADLS, Sky blue Databricks, Flash, Sky blue Neurotransmitter, Universe DB, DBT, and other big data innovations * Exhibited advanced capability in data analytics tools, languages, ML, and systems (e.g., Conos, PowerBI, SQL, Python, R) * Capability in data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools to effectively convey insights * Demonstrated ability in working with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Sky blue, or Google Cloud, to model and implement scalable and efficient data analytics solutions * In-depth understanding and practical application of Lakehouse engineering standards, combining the best of data lakes and data warehouses for effective and adaptable data management * High-level SQL skills.
