About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Assistance Representative. As a key member of our airport team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting with ticketing and baggage processing, and ensuring that our customers have a positive experience at the airport. Key Responsibilities Greet customers in a courteous and professional manner, providing assistance with self-service kiosk check-in and baggage processing Monitor the ticket counter area to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures Troubleshoot kiosk technology issues and communicate with IT to resolve problems Verify customer travel documents, including passports and visas, and ensure compliance with FAA and blithequark policies Assist customers with checked baggage processing, including completing credit card transactions and verifying weight Queue lines in ticket counter areas based on departure times or type of assistance needed Accept and activate customer self-tagged baggage at the activation station Physically move baggage throughout the ticket counter area, including moving checked baggage to the belt and oversized bags to designated areas Assist customers with checking assistive devices, sporting equipment, and other oversized items Refer customers to customer service agents when necessary Perform clearance and verification of documents at kiosks Assist with the physical movement of non-ambulatory customers as they board, deplane, or move throughout the gate and terminal area Provide customers with gate information and directions Perform paging activities, such as announcing forgotten items or asking customers to return to locked bags Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A high school diploma or equivalent Must be at least 18 years of age Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently Bilingual language skills may be required in some locations A valid driver's license, as required by local authorities Completion of a pre-employment drug screen, comprehensive background check, and/or fingerprinting to satisfy company and security requirements Ability to secure airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable Authorization to work in the US Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Working knowledge of Sabre or other Passenger Service Systems Previous face-to-face customer service experience Experience working in a fast-paced environment What We Offer At blithequark, we are committed to providing our employees with a comprehensive benefits package, including: Travel perks, including access to 365 destinations on over 6,800 daily flights Health benefits, including medical, dental, prescription, and vision coverage Wellness programs, including virtual doctor visits, flexible spending accounts, and more 401(k) program, with employer contributions available after one year Additional benefits, including employee assistance programs, pet insurance, and discounts on hotels, cars, cruises, and more Career Growth and Development At blithequark, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
