About the Role We are seeking an experienced Customer Care Agent to join our team, providing exceptional service to our customers and ensuring their needs are met in a timely and professional manner. As a Customer Care Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, handling inbound calls, resolving concerns, and providing information on our services. You will be working remotely, with the flexibility to work from home, and will be required to be available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Key Responsibilities Receive inbound calls from customers, clarify their needs, and resolve concerns or escalate issues to the appropriate level for disposition Provide exceptional service to customers, meeting or exceeding service expectations and avoiding escalations whenever possible Handle difficult calls with empathy and effective communication, using problem-solving and decision-making skills to resolve issues Reference systems and knowledge bases for process steps and guidance to address customer inquiries, maintaining a high level of application, process, and water utility knowledge Support and sustain a positive environment that fosters team performance and individual excellence, collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals Continuously improve call handling skills, systems knowledge, water and wastewater utility knowledge, and communications skills to enhance customer service levels Essential Qualifications High school diploma or state-accepted equivalency certificate required Two years of experience in a related business environment and customer service, with a strong focus on providing exceptional service to customers Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments Excellent customer service and team orientation, with a strong commitment to providing exceptional service to customers Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Proficient typing and personal computing skills, with the ability to use a variety of software applications and systems Preferred Qualifications SAP and utility experience, with a strong understanding of water and wastewater utility operations and services Experience working in a call center environment, with a strong focus on providing exceptional service to customers Strong knowledge of water and wastewater utility services, with the ability to provide information and answer questions from customers Skills and Competencies Champions safety, with a strong commitment to providing a safe and healthy work environment Customer-obsessed, with a strong focus on providing exceptional service to customers Cultivates innovation, with a strong commitment to finding new and better ways to provide services to customers Nimble learning, with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing circumstances Drives results, with a strong focus on achieving goals and objectives Collaborates, with a strong commitment to working effectively with colleagues to achieve common goals Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities to develop, grow, and evolve their careers.
