As a Customer Assistant, you will be part of a talented team that is dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of our customers. **Job Purpose & Scope** As a Customer Assistant, you will play a vital role in building relationships with existing and new customers, promoting our products and services, and delivering exceptional customer service. You will work closely with our team to identify customer needs, provide personalized solutions, and ensure that every interaction is a positive one. **Key Responsibilities** * Building customer relationships and growing member loyalty through face-to-face interactions, phone calls, and video meetings * Identifying customer needs and promoting our products and services that meet their requirements * Utilizing open spaces and member zones to maximize member engagement and provide exceptional customer service * Demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to provide excellent customer service in line with our values * Carrying out tasks delegated by the Branch Manager and contributing to the achievement of individual and branch objectives * Processing customer requests accurately and efficiently, ensuring that tills balance and administration is completed correctly * Achieving individual objectives and supporting the overall success of the organization * Working from other branches or office locations from time to time to support operational demands **Risk Management and Branch Security** * Adhering to our policies and procedures to mitigate risk * Identifying and reporting risk events in accordance with our Risk Management Policy * Ensuring that work is carried out accurately, with attention to detail * Complying with all blithequark policies and regulatory requirements * Understanding the importance of a risk culture in the Customer Assistant role **Society Ambassador** * Embracing and working in line with our core values * Having a good understanding of our products, services, and processes required to carry out the role * Working as part of a team, providing flexibility where required, and traveling to other locations within the business * Being able to work on own initiative and supporting the Branch Manager to raise the branch profile in the area * Being receptive of and willing to embrace change * Presenting a professional image at all times **Self-Development** * Taking ownership of your own development by actively participating in 1-2-1s and Personal Development Reviews * Keeping up to date with training requirements, including e-learning and attending training courses where required **Person Specification** * Qualifications & Knowledge: + Good level of numeracy and literacy * Experience: + Experience of working in a customer service environment + Experience of contributing effectively as part of a team * Skills & Abilities: + Excellent customer service skills + Ability to work as part of a team + Ability to identify customer needs + Ability to work on own initiative, demonstrate a can-do approach, and be willing to learn + Ability to competently use basic functions on Microsoft Word and Excel * Other Requirements: + Willingness to work at other blithequark branches or office locations from time to time + Willingness to occasionally work outside standard branch opening hours to support events in the community or branch open evenings + Basic DBS check will be undertaken upon an offer of employment **What benefits are on offer:** * Competitive salary rates * 35 hour working week (full-time) * Contributory Stakeholder Pension Scheme * Free Bupa health screening * Minimum of 23 days paid holiday per annum plus bank and public holidays * Parental Schemes * Sick Pay guaranteed for 6 months for major illnesses * Holiday purchase/sale scheme * Life assurance of 4 times your annual salary * Employee assistance programme * Continuous development opportunities * Open to discussing working flexibly If you are a motivated and customer-focused individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional experiences, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity to join our team at blithequark.
