Disaster Specialists - FEMA Experience
Remote | HHS0016762 | Closes 11/14 Disaster Related Specialist- Finance, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Cost RecoveryQualifications: • A Bachelor's degree or a high level degree. • At least five (5) years of professional experience in emergency management or a related field. • Coordinating with Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM)/HORNE/FEMA COVID-19 response invoice reviews • The ability to work 12-hour shifts as needed based upon DSHS request. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint). • Please see section 7.1.5 for further qualifications. • Knowledge of applicable federal and state disaster response and assistance laws, including: • 44 CFR. • Stafford Act (Public Law 100-707). • Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000 (Public Law 106-390). • Completion of relevant National Incident Management System (NIMS) Incident Command System (ICS) All-Hazards Position Specific training courses or credentials, including, but not limited to: • ICS-100: Introduction to the Incident Command System; • ICS-200: Basic Incident Command System; • ICS-700: An Introduction to the National Incident Management System • ICS-800: National Response Framework, An Introduction • ICS-900: National Disaster Recovery Framework Overview • E/L0973: NIMS ICS All-Hazards Finance/Administration Section Chief Course; • E/L0975 NIMS ICS All-Hazards Finance/Administration Unit Leader Course Duties & Responsibilities: • Review DSHS contracts, invoices, and time, equipment, and material records for accuracy and completeness. • Ensure projects comply with applicable federal and state laws, including: • 44 CFR. • Stafford Act (Public Law 100-707)
