[Remote] Power Electronics Control System Senior Technical Expert

GE Aerospace is focused on the future of flight and is seeking a Power Electronics Control System Senior Technical Expert to support their hybrid electric technology portfolio. This role involves defining technical plans, mentoring engineers, and collaborating in a diverse work environment to achieve aviation sustainability goals. Responsibilities • Define technical plans and roadmaps for the development and validation of hybrid electric system and component control systems • Consult and mentor less experienced engineers on hardware, software and control design solutions, initiating from concept design • Develop, review, and improve electrical system and component models for predicting system behavior • Actively participate in and serve as a reviewer in technical forums, providing clear actionable direction and feedback • Inform test plans to balance technical learnings and program schedules • Provide clear, timely communication of technical risks and challenges • Capture lessons learned and best practices to aid in continuous improvement of GE Aerospace’s hybrid electric capabilities • Define and formalize system, test, hardware, software, and human integration requirements • Define, refine, and apply GE Aerospace best practices • Present technical material to internal (GE Aerospace) and external (customer, agency, government, …) customers • Collaborate effectively in a diverse, global, distributed work environment Skills • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering from an accredited college or university • Minimum of 8 years industrial experience in power electronics control systems • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
