Remote Accountant / Bookkeeper for Construction Company

We handle multiple residential and commercial projects each week, and we’re building a world-class operations team that keeps every part of the business running smoothly. We’re looking for a smart, highly organized, and trustworthy accountant/bookkeeper to take ownership of our books — reviewing all expenses by job, cleaning up accounts, and helping us track profitability and cash flow with precision. Key Responsibilities - Review all project/job expenses and ensure correct categorization in QuickBooks Online Reconcile credit cards, bank accounts, and payment apps weekly - Prepare clean, easy-to-read reports showing profit/loss per job and department - Organize and audit past transactions (2024–2025 financial cleanup) - Track and summarize subcontractor and vendor payments - Help align and track multiple business accounts under one parent company - Build job costing and expense tracking systems that make reporting simple - Work closely with our CFO and admin team to ensure 100% financial accuracy - Identify unnecessary or duplicate expenses and suggest improvements - Prepare monthly balance sheets, summaries, and reports for management Requirements - 3+ years experience in accounting or bookkeeping - Strong English communication (written & spoken) - QuickBooks Online proficiency required - Excellent Excel/Google Sheets skills (formulas, pivot tables, etc.) - Strong understanding of job costing and project-based accounting - Detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive in resolving discrepancies - Experience with construction, contracting, or service-based businesses is a BIG plus - Comfortable handling multiple accounts and large data sets - Stable internet connection and ability to work independently Perks & Benefits - 100% remote — work from home - Direct access to management and CFO for clarity and support - Long-term position with room for advancement - Flexible schedule with weekly video check-ins - Performance-based bonuses for accuracy, speed, and organization To Apply Prepare your resume, portfolio or proof of experience.
