The External Partnership Coordinator will serve as the central point of contact for community, industry, and government partners seeking to collaborate with the university; and will assist in building the infrastructure for partnership intake and tracking, facilitating connections across campus, and strengthening strategic collaborations that advance innovation, research, and regional economic development.Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Development and Management In coordination with the PI, develop and maintain an intake process for externalinquiries, including a user-friendly online portal. Manage a database to track partnership requests, outcomes, and ongoingcollaborations. In coordination with the PI, create and oversee a partner-matching system toconnect external organizations with appropriate university units, faculty, orresources.Research and Best Practices Investigate models of external partnership management at peer institutions andidentify best practices. Recommend and implement strategies to enhance the university’s ability to engage effectively with external partners.Internal Assessment and Capacity Building Conduct an internal audit of existing community and industry partnerships across schools and departments. Identify faculty and staff expertise, interests, and capacity to engage in externalcollaborations. Develop resources, guidance, and processes to support faculty and staff in building sustainable external partnerships.Partnership Development and Engagement In coordination with the PI, strengthen and expand industry partnerships withparticular emphasis on collaborations involving the School of Science andEngineering, School of Business, Hudson Valley Additive Manufacturing Center(HVAMC), and Hudson Valley Venture Hub (HVVH). Serve as a liaison between external partners and internal stakeholders to ensurealignment of goals and effective communication. Support the development of partnership agreements, MOUs, and other formalarrangements.Collaboration and Communication Work closely with faculty, staff, and administrators across campus to identifyopportunities for engagement. Prepare reports, presentations, and analyses on partnership activities and outcomes for leadership.Pay: $30/hourQualifications: Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, higher education administration, publicadministration, or related field. At least 3 years of experience in partnership development, project management, community engagement, or related roles. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage databases and tracking systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to research and synthesize best practices from peerorganizations.Preferred Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems or partnership management software.
