Principal Associate - Discover Customer MarketingWe're looking for an experienced Marketing Strategist to drive customer marketing for Discover customers in the Capital One ecosystem - from brand and creative strategy through in-market execution across multiple channels. The right candidate will have marketing experience in brand strategy as well as developing and executing marketing campaigns. Examples include: Referrals, line management, Balance Transfers and offer testingLead cross-functional working group responsible for delivering marketing strategies, including Creative, Segmentation, Email Coding, Direct Mail delivery and Legal RoutingsLeverage insights & performance results to identify opportunities to optimize marketing programsChampion and deliver customer research to inform marketing strategies and creative decisions, developing materials to socialize insights to obtain leadership buy-inDevelop learning agenda, including research and testing plan, to inform optimizationsMonitor and analyze marketing engagement metrics to inform future marketing campaigns and/or campaign optimizationsPartner with Product and Enterprise teams to ensure capabilities are being developed to meet team needs, and enable marketing strategiesIdentify potential impediments to problem solve autonomously or escalate to leaders for help as necessaryMerchandize and socialize marketing & business results with broader stakeholder groupsIdeal Candidate:Can manage the details of multiple projects, deadlines and changing priorities, while maintaining excellent and accurate work.Thrives on collaboration, the opportunity to build in white space, and the drive for results.Is a highly effective communicator who can influence internal decision makers with formal recommendations and informal networking.Adept at briefing and collaborating with creative teams, external agencies and internal resources, on the development of marketing assets.Demonstrates strong curiosity, ability to learn quickly, and think creatively to uncover and apply actionable consumer insightsHas a passion for leveraging data, metrics and insights to drive results and learnings.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or Military ExperienceAt least 5 years of experience in brand strategy or product marketing experience with experience managing multiple channels on the, agency or client sideAt least 5 years of experience in planning, executing and analyzing marketing programsAt least 5 years experience in managing creative processes, partnering with creative teams and developing creative optimization frameworksPreferred Qualifications5+ years of experience driving optimization plans and creative strategy5+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment with a track record of effectively working autonomously and navigating ambiguityAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
