Petroleum Transportation Logistics Dispatch Manager
About the position Responsibilities • Oversee the Logistics department • Efficiently supervise, train, evaluate, and motivate the dispatch team and drivers • Oversee routing, customer service, and communication • Manage customers' inventory through systems and analysis • Acknowledge orders and provide accurate delivery windows based on current workload • Analyze workload and determine the most efficient means to deliver fuel • Oversee the proper utilization of equipment and driving workforce • Communicate directly with customers regarding their requirements • Maintain an understanding of DOT regulations • Work with Safety and Fleet Managers to ensure a safety-first philosophy • Assist drivers with the in-cab billing and ELD system Requirements • Previous petroleum transportation experience • Previous dispatch experience • Strong decision-making skills • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) • Ability to work efficiently in a high volume, fast-paced environment • Strong organizational and analytical skills Nice-to-haves • Experience in logistics management • Ability to multitask • Strong work ethic and self-motivation Benefits • Health insurance • Dental insurance • 401(k) • Paid time off • Vision insurance • 401(k) matching • Life insurance
