We’re seeking an experienced behavioral health billing professional who wants to grow beyond data entry and transaction management — someone ready to understand the “why” behind the work and move toward client account management and leadership. Responsibilities Process electronic and paper claims for multiple clients and payorsPerform and document Verification of Benefits (VOBs) for new and ongoing patientsSubmit and track authorization requests and Single Case Agreements (SCAs)Post and reconcile payments across client accountsConduct claim follow-up and denial management to maximize collectionsMaintain a deep understanding of client-specific payor requirements and updatesIdentify billing or process patterns impacting revenue cycle performanceCollaborate with the Credentialing and Compliance teams to ensure payor alignmentSupport reporting and audit preparation as needed Required Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in behavioral health billingWorking knowledge of CPT coding, modifiers, and payor submission rulesDemonstrated success managing claims across multiple states and payorsStrong organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple client files simultaneouslyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and cloud-based collaboration toolsAbility to maintain consistent communication through email, chat, and video conferencing Preferred Qualifications 3–5 years of ABA billing experienceFamiliarity with CentralReach, Rethink, and TebraExperience supporting multi-state operationsWorking knowledge of contracting and credentialing workflows Technical Requirements Because this is a fully remote position, all candidates must have: A secure, private workspace that complies with HIPAA and PHI confidentiality requirementsA HIPAA-compliant computer with reliable internet access for onboarding and training (Homefront provides a dedicated workstation once onboarding is complete) Ideal Candidate Traits You’re detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive — but also someone who cares deeply about why the work matters.
