Paid Research Participant - Bay Area (Home Based)
We are currently looking for people to participate in our Colby Jack Research Study. The purpose of this study is to gather data from different homes throughout the Bay Area. The collected data will be used to improve and train technological services and applications. This study involves setting up two collection devices within your home for a 7-10 day recording period. These devices will capture video data (no audio) from the main entrance of the house and from the living/dining room. As a participant, you can stop and start the recordings as needed using the switch on the device. You will also be asked to review the recorded videos on a computer provided to you, using an application that allows you to delete any unwanted clips. At the end of the data collection process, you will approve the final recordings before returning the devices. Note that you are expected to collect and share a minimum of 120 hours of data per capture device. Who is eligible? To participate you should meet the following qualifying criteria: • All household members must be 18 years or older, with no children under 18 living in the home • Must be located in the South Bay Area. • Must be willing to participate in the collection. • Must be able to set up devices, operate basic controls, and review video clips on the provided computer. • Sign a participant consent form, including consent from all household members (if applicable). • Adhere to project guidelines and collection protocols. • Properly care for the provided devices and ensure they are returned in the same condition as received. • Be able to communicate in English effectively and follow instructions from the study team. Where is the study taking place? This study will take place in your home. Study equipment will be delivered to you at a mutually agreed-upon time. How much is the compensation? You will receive $400 USD for the completion of at least 120 hours of data for the household. General Referral Bonus Program We offer a referral bonus of $50 USD for each participant you refer to the study and they complete the submission of 120 hours of data for the household.
