About the position Responsibilities • Own brand portfolio and develop online strategy to drive sales through owned marketing channels. • Regularly report on performance metrics and sales outcomes. • Maintain strong relationships with brands, retail merchants, marketing, and e-commerce teams to negotiate and implement strategies for online channels. • Review business strategies with brands to maximize online sales, including dotcom-only products and conversion-driving assets. • Partner with inventory team to review brand budgets and forecast newness while maintaining dotcom productivity goals. • Collaborate with e-commerce team on site enhancements and special projects. • Develop, mentor, and train Assistant Merchant and Merchandise Coordinator. • Stay current with trends and competition to maintain expertise in online merchandising. Requirements • Minimum 5+ years of retail merchant/buyer level experience. • Online merchandising or marketing experience strongly preferred. • High level of initiative and ability to work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic team environment. • Exemplary analysis and problem-solving skills at strategic, financial, and tactical levels. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Ability to work cross-functionally to resolve issues quickly and effectively. • Proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
