Job title: Logistics Specialist (Second Shift) Company: Job description: SEARCH has an immediate opening for an experienced Logistics Specialist to join our team to support second shift needs. Suitable candidates are expected to be on duty weekdays roughly 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM, with occasional pre/after-hours and weekends availability. As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of travel bookings for project-related activities, ensuring those activities uphold policies and best practices in all aspects of travel while identifying cost-saving strategies. This role will collaborate with our Logistics team to successfully deploy our crews out to projects all around the United States, while assisting in the evaluation and improvement of existing standard operating procedures. Essential Duties and Functions • Coordinate logistics on projects, including hotel accommodations, flights, and vehicle rentals for all field staff and management; • Make changes to the scheduled arrangements, as needed, for success of the project; • Correctly assign the travel arrangements to the proper project for billing and project tracking; • Provide comprehensive financial monitoring, including approving and executing routine travel and logistics-related payments, and managing a corporate credit card; • Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and best practices; • Maintain and update electronic records and databases; • Assist with on-boarding of new staff; • Provide high-quality, timely support to internal staff; and • Other duties, as assigned. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Administration, or related field; • At least two (2) years of high-volume travel logistics experience; • Ability to meet deadlines; • Detail oriented, organized, and able to work well on simultaneous tasks; • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; and • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends. Preferred Qualifications • Understanding of the Cultural Resource Management (CRM) industry (firms, clients, contracts, new research, and projects) at the regionwide, nationwide, and worldwide level. • Experience with Concur systems.
