Learning and Development Specialist / Training Program Developer III
About the position Responsibilities • Design and develop strategic learning and development programs targeting institutional skill development and learning needs. • Implement and evaluate virtual and in-person learning programs using instructional design best practices to measure effectiveness and impact. • Contribute to the planning and execution of a comprehensive learning strategy, focusing on accessibility and inclusive learning environments. • Foster strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, third-party facilitators, and subject matter experts. • Create and maintain digital learning resources in alignment with MSU accessibility and brand standards. • Apply and administer various educational technologies including e-learning authoring tools and learning management systems. • Evaluate current and emerging learning needs of MSU's diverse workforce to provide meaningful learning solutions. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Adult Learning, or a related field. • 3-5 years of related experience in teaching, learning, instructional design, program evaluation, and educational technologies. • Proficiency in instructional design and adult learning theories. • Strong communication skills and project management abilities. Nice-to-haves • Experience in designing and delivering employee-facing learning programs in higher education. • Technical proficiency with educational technologies and e-learning authoring tools. • Experience in learning needs analysis and program/project management.
