High-volume, fast-paced Florida traffic ticket and criminal defense law firm seeks a full-time legal assistant with excellent customer service and multitasking skills to work remotely from home.
Main Responsibilities
• Answer all incoming calls and respond to missed calls in a timely manner
• Identify customer questions, concerns, and overall needs
• Provide sufficient answers and solutions to all customer queries
• Handle customer complaints respectfully and professionally
• Redirect customers to attorney when appropriate
• Generate leads for attorney by screening callers and identifying potential sales opportunities
• Provide quotes and process payments
• Data entry into Google Sheets and Client Relation Manager software
• Prepare pleadings (“Notice of Appearance,” “Motions,” etc.) and electronically file them through the Florida e-Filling Portal
• Obtain case updates and results from courthouses
• Provide clients with case updates and results
• Communicate with JA’s, State Attorneys, and courthouse as needed
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Customer service experience required
• Ability to handle large volume of calls
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills
• Outgoing and friendly personality
Requirements
Bilingual (must speak, read, and write English and Spanish fluently). Computer and smartphone with high-speed internet. Must download the application RingCentral, and be technology savvy, including experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Google Sheets. A workspace free from noise and other distractions.
