Job Summary
We are looking for a talented Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to lead the development and maintenance of Payment Card Industry (PCI) Tokenization products, ensuring credit card security and compliance with PCI requirements. The successful candidate will also support authentication libraries and validation libraries used by Southwest application development teams to integrate with our enterprise authentication and authorization services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide security guidance to application and partner teams to remediate security vulnerabilities, risk items, and policy exceptions.
- Deliver training to clients on the use of key cybersecurity systems and automated environments.
- Identify cybersecurity issues, design solutions, recommend software and systems, and guide improvements in a timely manner to meet business requirements.
- Act as a problem solver to reflect the latest cybersecurity guidelines and practices.
- Serve as an enterprise Subject Matter Expert (SME) and advocate for IT Security standards and reference architectures.
- Act as a consultant to both cybersecurity and partner teams.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and develop business cases for changes.
- Lead teams to find the best solutions and express vision and leadership while ideating and testing.
- Administer prompt reaction and maintenance to production program issues.
- Collaborate with production analysts to identify defects and complete testing.
- May perform other work obligations as directed by Employee's Managers.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on authentication, authorization, and data protection.
- Strong understanding of security-related software, including authentication, authorization, TLS, and network segmentation.
- Experience with agile methodologies and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in at least one cloud computing technology and its concepts, such as AWS.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) development and automated configuration management using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cybersecurity-specific integration tests, including identity, security policy, and cryptography.
- Proficiency in execution, logging, and monitoring tools, such as Prometheus, ELK Stack, AppD, and their integration into platform tools like AWS CloudWatch.
- Experience with certification management tools and solutions, such as AWS Secrets Manager, CyberArk, or Hashicorp Vault.
- Knowledge of existing components in the identity pipeline, such as PingFederate, eDirectory, Dynamic Registry, CyberArk, or Micro Center IDM.
- Proficiency in at least two scripting and development languages, such as Java, TypeScript, Python, Go, Rust, and Lua.
- Experience with Secure Proxy and API Gateway, including Emissary Proxy, F5 APM, PingAccess, Layer 7 API Gateway, and AWS API Gateway.
- Knowledge of identity alliance protocols, including OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, and WS-Organization.
