About the Arkansas Center for Health Improvement (ACHI)
ACHI is a health policy organization administratively housed within UAMS, dedicated to being a catalyst for improving the health of Arkansans. Since its inception in 1998, ACHI has become a trusted source for local and national health and health industry information, providing critical data analyses and strategies that drive decisions and shape health policy. As a Senior Business Systems Developer at ACHI, you will play a crucial role in supporting processes required to maintain analytic databases, infrastructure, and contributing data systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Advanced data quality and data processing issue resolution, leading forensic data quality and process exploration to support data solution design.
- Identify process improvements and support cross-team project development.
- Provide process-level subject matter expertise for existing data projects and technology solutions, including expertise in data processes and data relationships to support data and analytic solutions.
- Collaborate with team members to create presentations and/or writing products for dissemination.
- Manage and prioritize multiple tasks/projects, working efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of health insurance claims data and automated data intake processes.
Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma plus 9 years of database management experience, including computer programming experience and/or technical business analyst experience.
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field plus 5 years of database management experience, including computer programming experience and/or technical business analyst experience.
- Proficient computer skills in programs including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SQL Server, Visio, and Microsoft Project.
- Experience in one of the following: C++, C#, Visual Studio, Crystal Reports, PHP, ASP, Java, J2EE, PHP.
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
- 5 years of database management experience, including computer programming experience and/or technical business analyst experience with health insurance data.
- Strong understanding of health insurance claims data and automated data intake processes.
- Experience with software development life cycle practices.
