Job Summary
As a Senior Advanced Analytics Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing large data sets, identifying causal relationships, explaining trends, and predicting future outcomes of key business drivers. You will work on various projects, including project site selection, optimization and rationalization, churn analysis, customer behavior, segmentation, sales analysis, forecasting, pricing business case development, and customer experience analysis. You will utilize advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to extract insights from complex data sets and develop predictive models to drive business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze large data sets to identify causal relationships, explain trends, and predict future outcomes of key business drivers
- Work on project site selection, optimization and rationalization, including churn analysis, customer behavior, segmentation, sales analysis, forecasting, pricing business case development, and customer experience analysis
- Develop and deploy predictive models using machine learning algorithms, including regression, cluster analysis, classification, random forest, sentiment analysis, A/B testing, optimization, factor analysis, time series analysis, dimension reduction, variable selection, and other analysis such as ANOVA, F-Test, T-test, Cross-Validation, and experiment design
- Utilize programming languages, including SQL, R, Python, SAS, MATLAB, pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, PowerBI, Alteryx, and Tableau to access, query, clean, and merge multiple large data sets
- Design, maintain, and update interactive online dashboards to provide insights to stakeholders
- Conduct end-to-end analyses, including data gathering and requirements specification, processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables, and presentations
- Provide insights on data and research activities, including team productivity, sales performance, and economic impact
- Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- Master's degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Analytics or Computer Science
- 2 years of experience in the job offered, or 2 years of experience in a related occupation utilizing statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms
- Strong understanding of statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms, including regression, cluster analysis, classification, random forest, sentiment analysis, A/B testing, optimization, factor analysis, time series analysis, dimension reduction, variable selection, and other analysis such as ANOVA, F-Test, T-test, Cross-Validation, and experiment design
- Proficiency in programming languages, including SQL, R, Python, SAS, MATLAB, pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, PowerBI, Alteryx, and Tableau
- Experience with data discovery and visualization skills using a combination of languages and tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex results to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the wireless and telecommunications industry
- Familiarity with relational databases and ad hoc SQL query development
- Experience with automate data extract, transform, and load process
- Knowledge of geographic location-based tools for wrangling geospatial data, including Alteryx and FME
- Certifications in Statistical Business Analysis and Advanced Programming
