About the Role: Seasonal Sales Associate
This is a part-time, non-exempt Seasonal Sales Associate position that will kick off in late September and run through mid-January. As a Seasonal Cast Member, you'll be an integral part of our team, focusing on delivering an Entertaining and Magical experience to every guest who walks through our doors or interacts with us online.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering Exceptional Guest Experiences: Engage with guests by asking open-ended questions to understand their needs and make personalized recommendations, ensuring they leave with a smile.
- Creating a Dynamic Environment: Contribute to a high-energy, fast-paced atmosphere that makes shopping at Disney Store an unforgettable experience.
- Providing Solutions: Assist guests in finding the perfect products or solutions, leveraging all available resources, including our online platform, Disneystore.com.
- Fostering a Positive Work Environment: Treat colleagues and guests with respect, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Maintaining Brand Standards: Uphold Disney brand standards in guest engagement, visual merchandising, and housekeeping, ensuring our stores are always "fit for a princess."
- Operational Tasks: Perform cash wrap and mobile POS duties efficiently, process shipments, replenish the sales floor, and undertake other operational tasks as needed.
- Adhering to Policies and Safety: Uphold all company policies, as outlined in our Standard Operating Procedures, Employee Policy Manual, and Code of Business Conduct, and maintain a safe working and shopping environment.
Essential Qualifications:
- Flexible Scheduling: Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, overnights, holidays, weekends, and call-in shifts (if permitted), with a minimum commitment of two shifts Monday through Friday and weekend availability as needed.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 45 lbs. and climb a ladder as required.
- Legal Right to Work: Must be able to submit verification of legal right to work in the United States.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Professional Appearance: Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to Disney Store grooming guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Retail or Service Experience: Previous experience in specialty retail or the service industry is highly desirable, as it demonstrates an understanding of guest-focused engagement and teamwork.
Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: A High School Diploma or equivalent is required for this role.
