About the position The Scheduling Specialist for the Cancer Care division at MaineHealth is responsible for managing appointment scheduling for a busy multi-physician specialty care practice. This role includes coordinating surgeries and surgical procedures across various locations. Once fully trained, the position will transition to a hybrid model, allowing for remote work based on need and experience. Responsibilities • Perform appointment scheduling for a high-volume multi-physician specialty care practice. , • Coordinate surgeries and surgical procedures at multiple locations. Requirements • High school graduate or equivalent preferred. , • Knowledge and skills of using office equipment. , • Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques. , • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks and adapt to changing demands. , • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly in person and on the phone. , • Strong computer skills. , • Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions. , • Ability to maintain confidentiality. , • Ability to work independently and as a team member with minimal direct supervision. , • Ability to maintain a professional manner even under stressful situations.
