Vaco Technology is currently seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a 12M+ Contract opportunity focused on a large, client-facing data center migration initiative. The role involves planning, executing, and coordinating the migration of DMVPN overlays, ensuring smooth transitions and effective communication with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
• Network Migration Execution - Plan / Execute DMVPN Overlay Migrations from Existing Cisco Environments to Arista-Based Infrastructure
• Site Migration Coordination - Coordinate Migration Activities Across Dozens of Sites | Ensure Alignment with the Broader Data Center Migration Timeline
• Routing Configuration - Implement Downstream Routing Configuration Changes Required for Site Cutovers
• Cross-Functional Collaboration - Coordinate With Architecture / Operations / Security Teams to Validate Designs / Execute Migrations / Ensure Smooth Transitions
• Issue Troubleshooting - Troubleshoot Complex Network Issues During Migration Windows / Minimize Disruption
• Documentation / Tracking - Maintain Detailed Documentation / Migration Plans / Progress Tracking (per-site)
• Stakeholder Communication - Communicate Migration Status / Risks Clearly to Tech / Non-Tech Stakeholders
Skills
• Senior Network Engineer - Enterprise Network Engineering / Network Operations
• Cisco Routing / Switching (deep understanding) with Arista Platforms (strong understanding)
